Pangandaman urges cooperation to realize his vision for prosperity
Amenah Pangandaman, the budget secretary, underlined the significance of maintaining unity amidst variety in order to fulfill the Marcos administration’s ambition of making the Philippines prosperous.
At the 100-day countdown to the 125th anniversary of the Philippine Independence and nationhood on Saturday in Kawit, Cavite, Pangandaman made the call.
Pangandaman stated in her speech that all Filipinos should keep cooperating for “a better, more wealthy, [and] more peaceful” future for the nation and future generations.
“Nakatataba nga naman ng puso na kahit nagmumula tayo sa iba’t ibang rehiyon ng bansa, iisa pa rin ang pintig ng ating damdamin — ang pagmamahal sa inang bayan,” the speaker said. The panawagan of the governing Pangulong Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. is pagkakaisa, or unification. It’s truly heartening to know that even though we hail from all parts of the country, our love for the nation endures. President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. is urging unity because of this. Because our cherished freedom belongs to everyone, not just a select few, she explained.
“It is the layout of our program for success; it is our commitment to the Kasaganahan. What we’re doing right now to advance the pamahalaan is for the benefit of the Filipino people. Pangandaman continued, “Whatever the administration does is for the welfare of the Filipino people.
She also reminded Filipinos of the bravery and sacrifices made by their forefathers to secure the country’s current state of freedom.
She emphasized that the Marcos government had made every effort to ensure that all Filipinos would benefit from the “inclusive and sustainable” economic change.
She listed a few of the national government’s initiatives, such as the block grant of more than PHP66 billion to the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM), the support given to local government units for the move to full devolution, and the digitalization initiatives to encourage bureaucratic efficiency, transparency, and accountability.
“Sinisikap ng kasalukuyang administrasyon at nagmat ang buhay ng bawat mamamayan sa pamamagitan ng economic growth. The current administration is doing everything possible to maintain economic growth so that everyone can live comfortably. At unti-unti ay nakakamit na po natin ito. We are gradually achieving our objective),” Pangandaman added, pointing to the 7.6% GDP growth projected for 2022.
In order to ensure that prosperity will be felt by everyone, she continued, “We are implementing government projects not just in Metro Manila but also in other regions of the nation, from Aparri to Tawi-Tawi. Sinisikap din namin na maparating ang mga proyekto ng ating gobyerno,” she said.
The first Maranao leader to speak at the commemoration of the anniversary of Philippine independence, Pangandaman, also praised her fellow Muslims for their active participation in the struggle for freedom and independence against foreign oppressors.
As long as Mindanao is not a banyaga, Samakatuwid, mahigit tatlong daang taon ang pagsakop ng mga Kastila sa Luzon at Visayas. (For more than 300 years, the Spanish invaded Luzon and the Visayas but not Mindanao. She said, “The Moro people battled for their territory, as well as for their culture, policy, and beliefs.
A three-year series of events marking the 125th anniversary of Philippine independence will emphasize the country’s 125-year evolution and growth through difficulties and setbacks.
