
OCTA: Up to 3.2% of NCR Covid-19 samples are positive.
On March 18, the National Capital Region (NCRcoronavirus )’s disease 2019 (Covid-19) seven-day positivity rate jumped to 3.2 percent.
Dr. Guido David, an independent monitoring organization’s research fellow, noted on Monday through Twitter that the region’s optimism rate for the week ending March 11 was lower than usual at 2.2 percent.
The positive rates remained Down at less than 5% in the NCR and other significant provinces and regions, according to David.
These provinces have a prevalence of 1.7% in Batangas, 1.3% in Bulacan, 3.5% in Cavite, 3.5% in Cebu, 2.7% in Iloilo, 1.2% in Laguna, 1.7% in Negros Occidental, 1.4% in Pampanga, and 2.5% in Pangasinan.
Positive rates did, however, rise in South Cotabato (13.2 percent from 10.5 percent), Misamis Oriental (17.1% from 11.1%), and Davao del Sur (5.7 percent from 5.2 percent last week).
The percentage of those who have been tested who have tested positive for the virus is referred to as the positivity rate.
