Under the agency’s Support to Parcelization of Lands for Individual Titling (SPLIT) Project, Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR) Secretary Conrado M. Estrella III has given 1,048 agrarian reform beneficiaries (ARBs) in Masbate province electronic land titles (e-titles).

I was reminded of the Pangulo Ferdinand “BongBong” Marcos when I heard him say, “Handa po kaming tumulong kaya huwag kayong bibitaw dahil namin kayo pababayaan, sigurado po iyan.” (Do not sell the government-granted land.) Marami pa po tayong ipapamahaging support services programs sa mga agrarian reform beneficiary organizations dito sa Masbate at sa buong bansa. Don’t give up because we are ready to aid; we won’t desert you, I was instructed by our President Ferdinand “BongBong” Marcos to tell you this. The agrarian reform beneficiaries organizations here in Masbate and across the nation will receive more support services projects from us, Estrella stated in his message during the distribution on Wednesday afternoon at the Masbate Convention Center.

Along with personally transferring the land titles and enforcing Marcos’ directive to expedite the distribution, he added. Estrella is in Masbate to speak with ranch owners about developing new programs that will help farmers.

“Meeting the ranch owners in Masbate was another reason I came here. One of the things we want to accomplish is not only farm but also produce and breed domestic cattle for meat or milk production. We will work hard to promote this project so that every farmer may raise their family’s income, the man remarked.

Estrella agreed that farmers are crucial to ensuring the production of food.

“President Ferdinand ‘Bongbong’ Marcos Jr. himself believes that the farmers are the real hope of our country,” Estrella continued.

According to him, the SPLIT initiative aims to parcelize or quickly subdivide Collective Certificates of Land Ownership Awards (CCLOAs).

To help Agrarian Reform Beneficiaries Organizations (ARBOs) such as the Bayanihan Multi-Purpose Cooperative, Agricultural System Industrial Diverse Multi-Purpose Cooperative, Libertad Agrarian Reform Movement for Improvement Organization, and Buen-Vista Agrarian Reform Beneficiaries Organization increase their agricultural output, the DAR chief also gave four units of 4WD farm tractors to these organizations.

In addition to land titles and equipment, Estrella added that their organization is prepared to offer farmers’ children scholarships and health care during times of illness.

“Upang matulungan pa kayo na magkaroon ng karagdagang kita, sa kasalukuyan, ay may inilalaan kaming pondo. We now have money designated to assist you in generating additional income. Nandiyan ang Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) na tutulong sa DAR upang makapag-enroll din ang mga agrarian reform beneficiaries sa Special Training for Employment Program (STEP) scholarship program. To help the DAR enroll the beneficiaries of the agricultural reform in the Special Training for Employment Program (STEP) scholarship program, the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) is available, he stated.
