The heat index, or the temperature that a person feels, can vary from 37°C to 40°C, according to forecaster Benison Estareja of the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA). The temperature in Metro Manila may reach up to 33°C.

In the Visayas and Mindanao, it will likewise be scorching around noon, while there may be a few isolated raindrops, he noted.

Iloilo and Tacloban are expected to reach up to 32°C, but Estareja warned that the heat index could rise to 38°C.

Davao and Zamboanga are expected to reach up to 34°C.

The entire archipelago will experience mild to moderate winds and small to medium seas.

No tropical cyclone is anticipated to make landfall in the Philippine system of Responsibility, according to Estareja, but a low-pressure system could form during the weekend.
