The recent partnership between Pag-IBIG Fund and Lalamove is a significant step forward for partner drivers of the leading on-demand delivery platform, bringing them closer to their dreams of a financially secure future and homeownership.

According to a news release on Thursday, the memorandum of agreement signed between Pag-IBIG and Lalamove ensures that partner drivers of the same-day delivery app can access the various benefits and services offered by Pag-IBIG Fund. These include opportunities for high-yield savings and access to cash and housing loans.

By becoming Pag-IBIG members, partner drivers can now avail of affordable home financing under the Pambansang Pabahay para sa Pilipino Housing (4PH) Program of President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. This program aims to provide 6 million housing units to underserved Filipino families by 2028.

“We commend Lalamove for actively offering these benefits to its partner drivers. This is hopefully the first of many partnerships of this kind,” said Pag-IBIG Fund Chief Executive Officer Marilene C. Acosta.

For Lalamove Philippines Managing Director Djon Nacario, this partnership solidifies the goal of both Pag-IBIG and Lalamove to make accessibility tangible for partner drivers.

“This partnership with Pag-IBIG Fund is part of our objective to continuously empower our partner drivers and help them turn their dreams into reality for themselves and their families,” he said.

With this partnership, Lalamove’s partner drivers can now find dedicated Pag-IBIG Fund personnel, Lingkod Pag-IBIG, available in Lalamove’s offices and through timely events in Metro Manila, Pampanga, and Cebu. These personnel will assist those interested in enjoying Pag-IBIG Fund’s savings and home financing benefits.

Nacario expressed excitement about “more partner drivers who will enjoy their improved quality of life through this partnership.”

“We have a growing community of hardworking individuals across Luzon and Cebu who fulfill same-day motorcycle and truck deliveries. They deserve nothing but the best services, and we will continue to provide that for them,” he said.
