‘Lab for All’ Caravan Provides Free Medical Services in Zambales 🏥

🏥❤️ Thousands of Botolan, Zambales residents benefited from free medical consultations and services through the “Lab for All” project, launched on Tuesday. The initiative is led by First Lady Marie Louise Araneta-Marcos to bring accessible healthcare to communities.

Dr. Noel Bueno, chief of the Provincial Health Office-Zambales, reported that around 1,500 individuals received various medical services, including eye checkups, chest X-rays, ultrasounds, laboratory tests such as blood chemistry and hematology, and minor surgeries.

The event also involved the distribution of essential medicines and vitamins, made possible through collaboration among government agencies such as the Department of Health, Department of the Interior and Local Government, Philippine Health Insurance Corp., Department of Social Welfare and Development, Technical Education and Skills Development Authority, and Commission on Higher Education.

Governor Hermogenes Ebdane Jr. expressed gratitude to First Lady Louise Araneta-Marcos and the participating agencies for providing free medical services to the people of Zambales. He emphasized the importance of their collective effort in making the “Lab for All” project a success.

Health Secretary Teodoro J. Herbosa, who attended the event, highlighted that the caravan aims to bridge the gap in healthcare disparities and contribute to the realization of Universal Health Care (UHC). The “Lab for All” initiative is part of the government’s commitment to ensure equitable access to quality and affordable healthcare goods and services and financial risk protection for all Filipinos.

Health Undersecretary Enrique Tayag expressed the Department of Health’s support for the “Lab for All” caravan, emphasizing its promotion of primary healthcare services in communities. The program unites various national agencies and local government units in advocating for a “Healthy Pilipinas, Bawat Buhay Mahalaga tungo sa Bagong Pilipinas” (Healthy Philippines, Every Life Matters towards a New Philippines) vision.
