🚨 The Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) – National Capital Region (NCR) issued a strong warning on Friday, emphasizing that it is not authorized to issue visa documents.

“The department is not in any way responsible for screening, processing, or approving visa documents for Filipinos intending to migrate or emigrate to foreign countries,” it clarified.

This alert comes in response to reports of unscrupulous individuals or groups falsely using the department’s name to solicit clearance fees for visa document issuance.

“Scam Alert! DOLE-NCR cautions the public to be cautious of scammers attempting to solicit clearance fees for visa documents that should not be paid to the Department of Labor and Employment,” the advisory stated.

The announcement did not disclose the amount scammers requested as a clearance fee.

DOLE-NCR also urged the public to exercise caution when dealing with groups or individuals during visa application processes.

“Stay vigilant and protect yourself against these deceitful activities,” the department urged.
