You won’t have to worry about food when you purchase an adventure sailing holiday package because it’s usually included. This means you only need to carry your personal belongings on board, so here’s what you should bring for adventure sailing if you’ve never done it before.

Given that you will be at sea for an extended period of time, you should bring plenty of casual attire, which basically means light, long-sleeved clothing to avoid sunburn throughout the day. It’s also a good idea to wear a hat with a wide brim and sunglasses to protect your face.

If you wish to relax on the deck, make sure you take a beach towel and sunscreen with you. You should also bring a light jacket in case the weather turns cold at night.

Before returning home, most charters will stop at a port, so bring a light pair of shoes or sandals with you so you may do some sightseeing on the island. If you don’t want to be bitten by mosquitoes or other insects, bring some bug repellant with you.

Don’t forget to bring your medicine with you if you’re on it. Because you’ll be gone for a while, make sure you bring all of your amenities with you so you can shave and clean your teeth.

When going adventure sailing, the most crucial thing to bring is a camera. When you arrive home, you’ll be able to take pictures and share them with your family and friends.

If you want to go swimming, remember to bring your bathing suit so you may jump in whenever you want, especially if you just want to cool off. If you have room in your backpack, you might also bring snorkeling equipment, which some places will lend to you for a price.

Because of the restricted storage capacity on most ships, all of this should be packed inside a 10-kilogram bag that is preferably collapsible. Other passengers will be able to stow their belongings as well.

You won’t need to bring your cell phone because they have a satellite phone and a radio on board to call for help if something goes wrong. You also won’t need to pack a first-aid kit because one will be provided onboard.

If you’re bored while relaxing onboard the chartered ship, you can volunteer to assist the crew with sailing tasks such as hauling the mainsail in the morning, trimming the sails, or navigating the ship during the day. As a result, you won’t feel bad about doing anything when you decide to take a vacation.

Another method to assist is to catch some fish that the crew can serve for lunch or dinner, even if the ship has already been provisioned with food for the duration of the voyage. You can bring your own rod or see if they have any available to borrow.

The only thing left to do now is to schedule your adventure sailing vacation now that you know what to bring. This can be done through your travel agency or on the internet.
