Residents who have not been vaccinated will be restricted from moving around Camiguin.
Camiguin’s provincial administration will enact new legislation that would restrict the travel of residents who have not yet been vaccinated against the coronavirus sickness (Covid-19).
Gov. Jurdin Jesus Romualdo indicated on his radio show, Serbisyong PPR, on Friday night that an order would be signed by Monday, January 24.
Those who have not been fully vaccinated should stay at home at all times save while going to work or getting vital products and services, he advised.
Non-vaccinated workers must also produce suitable identity and credentials, such as a company or office identification cards or employment certificates for employees, business permits for entrepreneurs, and barangay certification for farmers and fisherfolks, according to Romualdo.
“Those who are unvaccinated and intend to travel beyond their residence should obtain a barangay pass so they would know if they are permitted to do so,” Romualdo added in the vernacular.
Non-vaccinated individuals who would be purchasing vital items or receiving essential services must provide a barangay pass identifying the purpose of their trip before being permitted to leave, according to him.
Unvaccinated individuals are also forbidden from visiting malls, stores, resorts, and other comparable establishments and locations for leisure or social purposes.
Before being accepted into any company or venue, guests or customers must provide confirmation of the Covid-19 vaccine.
As of January 21, the province had 19 confirmed cases of Covid-19.
Covid-19 has resulted in 1,689 recoveries and 185 deaths in the province through March 2020.
