Manila Mayor Francisco “Isko Moreno” Domagoso, an Aksyon Demokratiko standard-bearer, aims to gain President Rodrigo Duterte’s support for his presidential bid in the forthcoming May elections.

Due to the lack of a presidential candidate, Duterte and his administration’s party, the Partido Demokratiko Pilipino Lakas ng Bayan (PDP Laban), have yet to endorse one.

“Ang Mindanao, ang Visayas, ang Luzon, ang mga kapwa natin Pilipino sa buong mundo at sa Pilipinas na itutuloy natin ‘yung mga nasimulan ng Build Build Build para naman hindi masayang ‘yung mga nasimulan ng Build Build Build para na I even said publicly, in my infomercials, that I will continue the Build Build Build program that he started so that the money spent from the people’s taxes does not go to waste),” he said in an interview during his visit to Laguna province on Thursday, the third day of the 90-day national campaign period.

In past interviews, Domagoso has stated that if he wins the presidency, he will continue the President’s major infrastructure program, “Build, Build, Build,” and other initiatives.

He stated that his infrastructure program would place a greater emphasis on the construction of houses, schools, and hospitals in order to create more jobs.

The PDP-Laban announced in a press statement on February 8 that it would support the presidential candidate who would carry on Duterte’s legacy policies.

Domagoso also hailed the President’s supporters, known as the Duterte Diehard Supporters or DDS, for their support.

“Maraming salamat sa mga DDS, Duterte Diehard Supporters, at mga kaalyado ni Pangulong Duterte na tumutulong sa atin,” he stated.
