Since joining the statewide immunization effort in March last year, the Philippine Red Cross (PRC) vaccination buses and facilities have provided about one million Covid-19 jabs doses.

PRC has already given out 990,491 doses, with 341,684 people receiving full vaccinations and 45,890 receiving booster shots.

On February 10, the PRC immunized 2,377 people around the country through its 26 inoculation stations and 17 buses.

“Ang ating aim ay mabakunahan ang mga hindi pa bakunado kaya inilalapit na natin sa kanila ang aming mga bakuna do,” the PRC stated in a statement released on Sunday. “Vaccines have proven to be both safe and effective. We strongly encourage everyone to get vaccinated because it is the most effective approach to protect not just yourself but also your family, friends, and community.”

PRC also maintains isolation facilities and emergency field hospitals, as well as doing Covid-19 infection tests. It’s also part of the national vaccination program “Bayanihan, Bakunahan 3,” which runs from February 10 to 18.
