MANILA, Philippines — On Tuesday, the Philippine National Police (PNP) reported only seven new cases of coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19), the lowest number so far this year.

According to the police department’s newest Covid-19 tracker, this is also the lowest number of daily cases in almost a month, since a high of 548 new infections on January 14.

The number of current infections has also decreased to 202 from 258 on Monday.

Meanwhile, 63 more PNP personnel have been recovered, bringing the total number of recovered PNP personnel to 48,415 out of 48,745 confirmed infections.

The number of those who have died stands at 128.

Meanwhile, fully vaccinated PNP personnel accounted for 97.62 percent of all personnel, or 219,527 out of 224,875 total.

Those waiting for a second injection make up 2.03% of the population, or 4,556 people, while those who have not been vaccinated make up 0.35 percent or 792 people.

Those who have already received a booster dose account for 48.56 percent of the total, or 106,603.
