MANILA, Philippines — The meteorological agency stated on Tuesday that two weather systems and a trough of a low-pressure area (LPA) might bring rain to several parts of the country.

“The LPA trough will not pass near the Philippine Area of Responsibility, but it will continue to rain across a large section of Mindanao,” said Grace Castaeda of the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA).

There are no weather disturbances that could directly harm the country, according to Castaeda.

The shear line, which affects the Eastern Visayas, and the northeast monsoon, which affects Luzon and the remainder of the Visayas, are the two main weather systems.

Over the Davao Region, Caraga, Samar, Eastern Samar, and Northern Samar, will produce scattered rain showers and thunderstorms.

The northeast monsoon will also bring precipitation to Cagayan, Isabela, Aurora, Quezon, and Bicol.

During moderate to heavy rains, residents in these locations are recommended to take precautions against probable flash floods or landslides.

The northeast monsoon will bring isolated light rainfall to Metro Manila, the rest of Luzon, and the rest of the Visayas.

The trough of LPA will bring isolated rain showers or thunderstorms to the rest of Mindanao.

Meanwhile, over Northern and Central Luzon, as well as the eastern half of Southern Luzon, the Visayas, and Mindanao, moderate to strong winds and moderate to rough waves will persist.

The northern and eastern seaboards of Northern Luzon, the eastern seaboards of Central and Southern Luzon, the western seaboard of Northern Luzon, and the eastern seaboards of the Visayas and Mindanao will all suffer strong to gale-force winds.

Fishing boats and other small sea vessels have been cautioned not to enter into the water, while larger sea vessels have been warned of strong waves.

Winds will be light to moderate elsewhere, with modest to moderate seas.
