Dr. Jemuel Cristobal, medical officer for DOH-9, stated the region has seen 59,533 Covid-19 infections so far, with 840 active cases and 2,437 deaths.
According to Cristobal, 68.2 percent of active cases are asymptomatic, 26.1 percent have mild symptoms, 4.4 percent have moderate symptoms, 1.2 percent have severe symptoms, and 0.1 percent have critical symptoms.

Bank operations have returned to normal.
Despite the Alert Level 3 limitations, the banking industry in Zamboanga City has resumed normal activities.
According to Inocente Locson, head of the Zamboanga Bankers and Financiers Association (ZBFA), local banks have begun operating until 3 p.m., with some extending until 4:30 p.m.
According to Locson, the city has a total of 78 bank branches and financing institutions.
“The amount of money in circulation in the city is enormous,” he explained.
He believes that once the municipal election campaign period begins on March 25, more money will be in circulation since candidates will have to spend money on campaign materials.
