CITY OF PAGADIAN – Sara Duterte, a vice presidential nominee, secured the support of the rest of the peninsula’s leaders on Saturday following her visit to Zamboanga del Norte on Friday.

According to a news release, Duterte initially met with Pagadian City Mayor Samuel Co, who was accompanied by Sibugay (1st District) Representative Wilter Palma II and local party candidates Arangkada Pusong Asenso.

Priscilla Co, a Vice Governor candidate, stated that they “promise to support” Duterte’s campaign.

“We want President Rodrigo Duterte’s programs to continue,” Co added.

Duterte also met with Zamboanga del Sur Governor Victor Yu, his wife, First District Representative Divina Grace Yu, and local leaders in a separate meeting.

He expressed gratitude to Duterte for assisting Yu’s campaign in the 2019 elections and urged his supporters to grant the Davao City mayor the love and support she requires in her campaign.

“Karon, panahon na pud aron ibalos nato ang iyang pagsuporta sa atong team last election, tagaan nato siya ug pinaka-dako nga suporta gikan sa atong team Let’s give her all of our team’s support),” Governor Yu added.

Duterte stated that she needs elected politicians to support her call for Filipino unity, particularly after the May 9 elections.

“Kinahanglan ang mga napili nga leaders birahon tanang Pilipino pagawas sa kalisod sa election.” Pink, yellow, green, blue, or pula o pula o pula o pula o pula o pula o Tanan birahon pagawas sa kalisud nga hatod sa pandemya (pare-pareho tanan birahon pagawas sa kalisud nga hatod sa pandemya) (After the elections, elected officials must bring all Filipinos together.) She also praised her followers for lining up on the streets and participating in all of her activities for the day with the audience.

The Zamboanga provinces’ portion of the “Mahalin Natin ang Pilipinas (Love the Philippines)” motorbike ride included House Speaker Lord Allan Velasco and senatorial candidate Robin Padilla.
