1K new Covid-19 infections and 2K recoveries are recorded by PH.
MANILA, Philippines โ On Sunday, the Department of Health reported 1,038 new cases of coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19), as well as 1,999 additional recoveries.
There are 47,910 mild cases, 2,780 intermediate cases, 556 asymptomatic cases, 1,417 severe cases, and 298 critical cases out of 52,961 active cases.
On Saturday, there were 53,934 active cases.
The new data bring the total number of confirmed illnesses to 3,661,049, with 3,551,687 recovered cases.
“Of the 1,038 instances recorded today, 1,015 (98 percent) happened in the last 14 days, from February 14 to 27, 2022,” according to the DOH.
The National Capital Region, with 227 cases (22%), Central Visayas, with 104 instances (10%), and Calabarzon, with 104 cases (10%), had the most cases in the last two weeks.
The mortality toll has risen to 56,401, with 51 new deaths accounting for 1.54% of all cases.

COVIDKaya is a web-based tool that allows healthcare professionals to collect and share information regarding Covid-19 patients.
According to the statistics from February 25, around 5% of the 25,313 people who were tested for coronavirus were positive.
The total case count was reduced by about nine duplicates, three of which were recoveries and one of which was death.
Meanwhile, after validation, 44 cases formerly categorized as recoveries were reclassified as fatalities.
On February 25, all laboratories were functioning, however one was unable to submit data to the Covid-19 Document Repository System.
Based on statistics from the previous 14 days, the laboratory supplied 0.05 percent of samples analyzed and 0.05 percent of positive persons, according to the DOH.
Patients with Covid-19 have used 26 percent of 3,700 ICU beds, 22 percent of 20,500 isolation beds, 15 percent of 14,100 ward beds, and 13 percent of 3,100 ventilators nationwide to date.
In the NCR, Covid-19 patients use 24 percent of 1,300 ICU beds, 23 percent of 4,500 isolation beds, 23 percent of 3,900 ward beds, and 15 percent of 1,000 ventilators.
