Eight violators are found in a random drug test conducted by the NCR for drivers.

MANILA, Philippines โ€” On Friday, the Inter-Agency Council for Traffic (I-ACT) and its government partners launched “Oplan Harabas,” a statewide crackdown on drunk and drugged driving, netting six people who tested positive for illegal narcotics and one who was intoxicated in Metro Manila alone.

I-ACT said on social media that over 296 drivers had been given random drug and alcohol breath analyzer tests at terminals in SM Mall of Asia and the Paranaque Integrated Terminal Exchange.

“Anim ang positibo sa ilegal na droga, isa ang lango sa alak, at isa ang tumanggi sumailalim sa mga test sa isinagawang mga test sa isinagawang mga test sa isinagawang mga test sa isinagawang mga test sa isinagawang mga test sa isinagawang (After the testing, six people were found to be positive for illegal substances, one was inebriated, and one refused to be tested.) PDEA [Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency] is currently holding them,” I-ACT wrote on Facebook.

Two of the thirty-three public utility vehicles (PUV) that were inspected failed the safety check.

The drivers were given warnings and opportunities to repair their vehicles.

The Philippine Coast Guard, Land Transportation Office, Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board, Metropolitan Manila Development Authority, Philippine National Police, and PDEA all participated in the I-ACT initiative.
