DAVAO CITY, Philippines – Physicians and other healthcare workers from all throughout the country believe that unity is the key to the country’s prosperity, thus they endorsed UniTeam’s presidential candidate Ferdinand Marcos Jr. and vice-presidential candidate Mayor Sara Z. Duterte on Saturday.

Convenors from Davao, Soccsksargen, and Caraga regions stated their organization, nicknamed “UniteaMD,” adheres to the principle of unity as a requirement for the country’s continuous prosperity and stability, during a news conference today.

“We want to show that there are doctors that support the UniTeam because we share the same vision.” Dr. Jett Lu, Davao Region lead convenor, said, “We want to transmit only positive sentiments, not negative campaigns.”

He went on to say that the BBM-Sara UniTeam’s message of positivism connected strongly with healthcare staff.

“Our hopeful approach to illness management reflects the UniTeam’s positive approach to tackling the country’s problems and executing their campaign,” Lu remarked.

He claims that their volunteer association has expanded to include other health-care professionals such as nurses, dentists, pharmacists, and allied health and paramedical workers.

“When it comes to finding solutions to large and difficult challenges, teamwork is not only vital, but unity in variety is also essential.” Another reason we chose the UniTeam is because of this appeal for unity,” Lu noted.

He also stated that the BBM-Sara UniTeam is the only duo that has declared desire to continue with the current administration’s constructive plans.

“In the next six years, and hopefully beyond,” he continued, “we are enthusiastic about achieving sustainable growth and development.”

Dr. Sergio Demontao Jr., convenor of Soccsksargen, recounted how they were able to speak with Marcos during a conference held in General Santos City.

“He (Marcos) promised to prioritize the front-runners. He understands our predicament during the pandemic and has promised to assist us,” he stated.

According to Demontao, one of the concerns discussed at the meeting is the problem with PhilHealth claims.

“He also promised to look into the situation,” he added.

Meanwhile, Caraga Region convenor Dr. Asterio Ronquillo stated that only the UniTeam tandem has the ability to solve the coronavirus sickness problem in 2019. (Covid-19).

“The hazards posed by Covid-19 continue to exist. “We invited other doctors to join our cause because we believe that working together will provide us with solutions to these issues,” he stated.

The organisation also stated that there is no membership fee for healthcare professionals who seek to join their organization.

During the UniTeam rallies, they also promised to have doctors on standby.
