Prayer is important to Pangilinan in his political path, he adds.

MANILA, Philippines — Vice presidential candidate Francis “Kiko” Pangilinan said on Wednesday that prayer has been a big part of his campaign and that he believes miracles happen all the time.

“Itong panalangin ayaw ayaw ayaw ayaw I’m a naniniwala sa loob ng halos apat na dekada nating paglilingkod mula pa noong ako’y student leader hanggang sa ako’y naging senador, nakita natin sa pulitika at sa ibang larangan, naniniwala pa rin ako (Prayer is essential.) I believe in miracles and prayer, and have done so for almost four decades, from being a student leader to being a senator), whether in politics or in other fields “In an online prayer meeting for himself and his running companion, Leni Robredo, he added.

Pangilinan stated that being Robredo’s running mate was not in his plans because he was fighting for reelection.

However, he recognized that his plans might not be what should happen.

“I thought at that time that itong paghiling sa atin ni Vice President Leni ay bagamat hindi ito ang gusto ko at hindi ito ang plano ko ay agad-agad po kaming nanalangin. (On sometimes, our desires may differ from God’s will.) God, as they say, has a plan, and I sensed that when Vice President Leni asked. I instantly begged for direction, despite the fact that I had no desire to be a vice presidentiable) “he stated

Pangilinan also said that his wife, Sharon, and daughter sought God’s direction.

“Vice President Leni’s nagdesisyon na kami, ‘yung nangyari ay hindi namin inaasahan. (When Vice President Leni and I decided, we didn’t expect it.) When individuals began to show up in large numbers to support our quest, it seemed as if little miracles were happening every day. It came as a shock to us “According to Pangilinan.

He thought Robredo’s victory in the 2016 vice presidential election was a miracle.

“Vice President Leni naipanalo ang kanyang kandidatura naipanalo naipanalo naipanalo naipanalo naipanalo naipanalo naipanalo ‘Yan ay milagro rin,’ says the narrator. Naniniwala ako’y naniniwala ako’y naniniwala ak (Vice President Leni won the election with 37% of the vote, up from 1%.) That, too, is a miracle, and I believe in it),” he added.

“We can never be a powerful nation unless the lost, the least, are given attention, unless the least of our brethren are given the assistance,” Pangilinan said.”

Meanwhile, before travelling to a volunteers’ thanksgiving gathering in Malabon, Pangilinan paid a courtesy call to Caloocan Bishop Pablo Virgilio David.

During a courtesy call at Malabon City Hall, Mayor Lenlen Oreta raised Pangilinan’s hand. (
