Starting May 1, the price of PG for an 11-kg tank will be reduced by P63.
MANILA, Philippines — Liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) prices have dropped as low as PHP63.25 per 11-kilogram cylinder due to lower LPG contract prices on the global market.
Petron and Phoenix LPG said in an alert that effective at 12:01 a.m. Sunday, they enacted a PHP5.75 per kilogram rollback in LPG rates.
AutoLPG costs have been decreased by PHP3.22 per liter at Petron, and PHP3.20 per liter at Phoenix LPG.
For 11-kg tanks, Solane-branded LPG was also reduced by PHP5.73.
Household LPG costs have risen from PHP12.62 to PHP13.04 per kilogram since February, equating to PHP138.82 to PHP143.44 for a standard 11-kg LPG tank.
The average price of an 11-kg LPG cylinder in Metro Manila, according to the Department of Energy, was PHP1,099.
