Take advantage of the advances made by the Duterte administration, the next administrator advised.
MANILA โ Malacanang urged the next administration on Tuesday to build on the achievements of the Duterte administration, which have aided the country’s progress and development.
During the second day of the Duterte Legacy Summit, Cabinet Secretary Melvin Matibag expressed hope that President Rodrigo Duterte’s and his Cabinet’s “crucial” policies and projects would be continued by their successors.
This came as he emphasized the Duterte administration’s efforts to provide a comfortable living for Filipinos.
In a speech at the Philippine International Convention Center in Pasay City, Matibag said, “We respectfully call on the leaders of the new administration to capitalize on these advances and preserve the momentum of inclusive growth and development that would benefit all Filipinos with no one left behind.”
Despite the Covid-19 outbreak and other critical crises facing the country, Duterte and his administration did everything they could to make Filipinos’ lives “better, safer, and healthier,” according to Matibag.
Matibag expressed confidence that the Duterte administration will leave a “legacy of offering Filipinos what actually matters to them” when it leaves office on June 30.
The prolonged validity of passports and driver’s licenses, as well as the permanent validity of birth and marriage certificates, were among the outgoing administration’s “inclusive and responsive” measures, according to Matibag.
“Despite the epidemic and other problems, we can all agree that this administration has worked hard to ensure that regular Filipinos are included in the country’s growth. The administration’s essential programs and actions have considerably enhanced the quality of life for our kababayans “he stated
According to Matibag, the Duterte government will leave office having delivered on its commitment to provide all Filipinos with a “stable, pleasant, and peaceful” living.
“The administration’s important programs and actions have considerably enhanced the quality of life of our kababayans,” he stated. “Ito ang mabuting pamana sa susunod na administrasyon โ ang prinsipyo ng pagkalinga at pagpapagaan ng pamumuhay ng ordinaryong Pilipino (This is the good legacy that will be passed down to the next administration โ caring for and providing a comfortable living for ordinary Filipinos).”
The Presidential Communications Operations Office hosted the two-day Duterte Legacy Summit, which featured a recap of the outgoing administration’s accomplishments, including important campaign promises that were fulfilled under Duterte’s leadership.
