Airports near the path of Typhoon Karding have been operational, according to a report released Monday by the Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP).

These airports are those managed by the CAAP and are located at Baguio, Laoag, Vigan, Lingayen, Rosales, San Fernando, Tuguegarao, Cauayan, Palanan, Bagabag, Basco, and Itbayat, Plaridel, Iba, Baler, Alabat, Jomalig, Calapan, Lubang, Mamburao, Marinduque, San Jose, Pinamalayan, Wasig

Airports at Puerto Princesa, Busuanga, Cuyo, San Vicente, Bulan, Sorsogon, Daet, Masbate, Naga, Virac, and the Bicol International Airport all provide regular boarding operations.

The CAAP said that at 3 a.m. on Monday, Clark International Airport’s Air Traffic Service (ATS) resumed regular operations.

As a precaution, the ATS was shut down during the storm, according to CAAP spokesperson Eric Apolonio.

Over areas of Luzon over the weekend, “Karding” brought torrential rainfall and severe gusts after becoming a Super Typhoon on Sunday.

In particular, the northern and central portions of General Nakar and the northeastern portion of Infanta were covered by Signal No. 5 on Sunday, as were the Polillo Islands and the far northern part of Quezon.
