The local government hailed Quezon City on Monday as the “perfect destination for investors and entrepreneurs” due to its advantageous location, digital platform for businesses, and assistance programs for micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs).

As it works to recover from the effects of the coronavirus disease 2019 pandemic, the city is preparing for the “Quezon City Investors Summit: Future Ready” on October 7. This event will bring together investors, business associations, chambers of commerce, foreign dignitaries, and other local officials.

According to Margarita Santos, head of the QC Business Permits and Licensing Department, “Quezon City is future-ready, ready for investors, and ready to construct a stronger and more successful city so that our QCitizens will be able to enjoy the consequent benefits.”

95 percent of the city’s services have been automated and digitalized using the QC E-Services platform.

Business permits are readily applied for online and delivered for free to the applicant’s home or place of business.

MSMEs are continuously given incentives in the city, ranging from tax cuts and longer tax payment deadlines to modifying business licenses’ validity.

The municipal government will soon begin offering financial support through its “Start-Up QC” initiative to cutting-edge, imaginative, and potential company models.

The investors’ summit aims to increase investor trust in the city, attract capital and public-private partnerships, and position it as the top-of-mind preferred investment location.

“The conference will highlight Quezon City as a premier business location for domestic and foreign businesses. In a message to the media, Mayor Joy Belmonte stated, “We want to attract more investors who can further improve the economy and generate work for QCitizens.
