PH is on track to fully recover during the first 100 days of PBBM.
On his 100th day in office, President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. led the nation toward sound economic growth and steady progress toward complete recovery from the effects of the coronavirus pandemic, Speaker Martin Romualdez praised.
“During the first 100 days of President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.’s administration, the Philippines is on track and running steadily. Our economy has recovered from the effects of the global epidemic and is already at the beginning of its complete recovery, according to Romualdez.
Under the Marcos administration, he claimed, the future appears brighter since commercial activity is already picking up, jobs are being restored, and new ones are being created. Economic activity has once again become dynamic.
Romualdez claimed that Marcos’ careful selection of the best economic team and the painstaking creation of the Medium-Term Fiscal Frameworkโwhich would serve as the country’s road map for returning to its high-growth trajectoryโhave made these accomplishments feasible.
Romualdez expressed optimism that the government would be able to maintain the country’s momentum of progress due to the overwhelming support for Marcos in Congress and a responsible minority.
However, he noted that the nation faces significant difficulties as post-pandemic shock and international tensions continue to strain the world’s economies to the breaking point.
“We require a business to survive. To those who can work, we must offer more jobs and maintain pre-pandemic levels of affordability for essential goods, according to Romualdez.
He added that the President’s earnest and persistent call for unity becomes more important during these trying times.
“If we stay together and cooperate for the greater good, we can only hope to develop a stronger nation sturdy enough to resist the shocks of external catastrophe,” Romualdez added.
Along with praising Marcos for his accomplishments in domestic policy, Romualdez said that the president did well in his first 100 days in office in pursuing his pragmatist foreign policy of “friend to all, enemy to none.”
Romualdez mentioned, among other things, the bilateral meeting between President Marcos and US President Joe Biden outside the 77th United Nations General Assembly, where the two leaders strengthened their security ties and discussed ways to increase their cooperation on a variety of topics, including infrastructure, infrastructure security, and climate action.
Marcos and Indonesian President Joko Widodo attended the signing of accords on defense, security, the creative economy, and culture while Marcos was in Indonesia. As associate members of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations, they also reaffirmed their commitment to enhancing bilateral relations.
Marcos attended the signing and exchanging agreements on counterterrorism, personal data protection, digital cooperation, water resource management, and investment during his state visit to Singapore with Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong.
