First 100 days: Focus on health, livelihood, and the peace process.

In his first 100 days as the nation’s 17th president, President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. declared health, livelihood, and peace programs had taken precedence.

Marcos stated in his weekly vlog that he views the implementation of laws and initiatives to guarantee public health, increase chances for employment, and uphold law and order as his administration’s accomplishments.

“Ang mga pundasyong tinuturing nating sangkap ng isang masaganang lipunan tiniyak nating mabigyan ng sapat na atensyon. It is kalusugan, kabuhayan, and kapayapaan, according to the akin. It’s safe to say that the foundations of a bountiful society received the right attention during the first 100 days of the current administration. For me, the topic of our first 100 days might be the promotion of health, livelihood, and peace “said he.

According to Marcos, the current coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) pandemic and other international difficulties are preventing the country from recovering. Marcos claimed to have chosen the “best and brightest” government employees to ensure this.

The President praised the “hardworking” government employees. They are assisting him in achieving his goals for the country, even though his administration’s accomplishments are only the tip of the iceberg.

Marcos said that because he is already “comfortable” with his role as president, he does not even feel like he is in the “honeymoon” phase.

“An isang daang day is when the panunungkulan for the pangulo is said to be complete. It’s been said that the honeymoon phase lasts for the first 100 days, so parang nangangapa naman. It has been 100 days since I served as president, but parang hindi naman ganoon ang aking naging pakiramdam dahil siguro pamilyar na rin ako sa trabaho at nakapagsabak agad. I disagree with the notion that the first 100 days constitute a honeymoon phase because I am already accustomed to my job “said he.

putting health first

According to Marcos, the government continues to step up efforts to persuade more Filipinos to take booster shots against Covid-19, given that the nation is still struggling with the pandemic.

He stated that around 73 million people had received their coronavirus vaccination.

He continued, “Nearly 81,000 people get vaccinated every day, and more than 19 million people who have received all of their vaccinations have already received booster doses.”

Marcos thought the “PinasLakas” vaccination campaign helped his government control the outbreak.

Even if Covid-19 is still present, we can say that we are effectively controlling this virus, the man said. “Kahit umaaligid pa itong Covid na ito ay masasabi nating mahusay na ang pagma-manage natin nitong virus,” he added. I hope that everyone who is already completely immunized would have a booster shot. “Sana po, lahat po ng hindi pa nabakunahan ng booster shot ay magpa-booster shot na po,”

The safe reopening of schools in August of this year and the voluntary usage of face masks in outdoor settings were both credited by Marcos to the country’s improving Covid-19 situation.

After the Department of Budget and Management (DBM) recently approved the release of PHP1.04 billion to cover the unpaid Covid-19 special risk allowance (SRA) claims of approximately 55,211 health workers involved in the pandemic response, he claimed that the government also made a significant advancement.

More employment options

For “retail and informal merchants,” Marcos claimed that the return of a few restricted face-to-face seminars was very beneficial.

“Twenty-eight million students are needed for the class of 2022 to 2023. There are 28 million students enrolled in the 2022–2023 school year. Therefore, there is a substantial amount of economic activity and stimulation there. The statistic significantly increased economic activity and provided a stimulant, particularly for retailers and street sellers, “added he.

Marcos also underlined that the agreements and letters of intent worth US$18.92 billion that was signed during his most recent trips to Indonesia, Singapore, and the United States were fruitful (over PHP1 trillion).

Around 134,285 jobs are anticipated to be created due to the business pledges made by the investors from the three nations the President recently visited.

“Ating ginagawang hakbang must be puspusan in order to take advantage of the opportunities and opportunities in the bansa that come with the pagbangon of our economy, which is the pagbangon of the Filipino family. Iyan ang naging pakay niya sa mga pagbibisita niya sa mga iba’t ibang bansa – ang maipahiwatig na ang Pilipinas ay bukas na muli para sa mga negosyante, para sa mga investor (Our economic recovery is the recovery of Filipino families, To inform everyone that the Philippines is once again open for business and investment, that is our main objective in visiting the three nations “said Marcos.

The concurrent secretary of agriculture, Marcos, stated that supporting farmers is a priority for his administration.

He mentioned that the government had provided farmers with loan forgiveness programs, an additional PHP84.1 million in local coffee production and rehabilitation program funding, and discount coupons for fertilizer.

process of peace

According to Marcos, the merger of the Moro Islamic Liberation Front and the Moro National Liberation Front is another accomplishment of the administration (MILF).

This, along with his emphasis that he selected individuals from both the MNLF and the MILF to be a part of the 80-person Bangsamoro Transition Authority (BTA), seemed to end the 46-year division of the two Moro fronts.

“This is the message of togetherness throughout the campaign. The MNLF, the MILF, and the other stakeholders are all together. This is the unity we advocate during the campaign – the unification of MNLF, MILF, and other stakeholders. It is more maayos to consider the representation of the broad group than anything else. Now, there is a better depiction of each group and how they operate, “explained he.

The decommissioning of MILF fighters and their weapons has resumed, which Marcos also praised. He continued by saying that the government would continue assisting ex-rebels in their assimilation into society.

“Patuloy lang po ako at lalo pang pag-iigihin ang ating trabaho at pagsisilbi sa ating bayan para sa pangarap ninyo, para sa pangarap ko, para sa ating minamahal na Pilipinas sa pagdaan ng unang 100 araw ng panunungkulan. After our first 100 days in office, we’ll keep working harder and providing better services to the public in support of your dream, my dream, and the dream of our beloved Philippines. Together, through cooperation and solidarity, we will succeed “declared Marcos.
