The Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases (IATF-EID) has approved the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) recommendation to recognize national Covid-19 vaccination certificates issued by Brazil, Israel, South Korea, and Timor Leste, Malacanang announced on Thursday.

The IATF’s clearance, according to acting presidential spokesperson Cabinet Secretary Karlo Nograles, is for “purposes of arrival quarantine protocols as well as for interzonal/intrazonal travel” under Resolution No. 160-D.

“These are in addition to those countries, territories, and jurisdictions whose proofs of vaccination the IATF has already certified for recognition in the Philippines,” Nograles stated, “and without prejudice to such other proofs of vaccination approved by the IATF for all inbound passengers.”

Slovenia, Bahrain, Qatar, Switzerland, and Hong Kong had their national Covid-19 vaccination certificates accepted by the IATF previously.

According to Nograles, the Bureau of Quarantine, the Department of Transportation’s one-stop-shop, and the Bureau of Immigration have all been instructed to accept only the IATF-approved certificates of vaccination.
