Sara promises initiatives that will increase international investment.

ILAGAN CITY, Isabela โ€” Sara Duterte-Carpio, a vice presidential candidate and the mayor of Davao City, pledged on Tuesday to push for measures that will enhance the economy by attracting international investment.

“Dito lang ang pera at ilipat sa kabila, hindi puwedeng dito lang ang pera at ilipat sa kabila.” We can’t just put our money in one hand and put it in the other.) Kailangan natin ang foreign investors at makukuha natin ang tiwala nila sa ating maayos na bansa at pagkakaisa (We can’t just put our money in one hand and put it in the other.) We need international investors, and we’ll gain their faith and confidence via excellent administration and togetherness),” she told a throng of about 5,000 people during a campaign rally in this city.

She also urged for the continuation of President Rodrigo Duterte’s war on illegal drugs, which he launched.

Former Public Works Secretary Mark Villar, former Palace Spokesperson Harry Roque, and former Defense Secretary Gilbert Teodoro Jr. were among the senatorial candidates who joined a TikTok dance to the delight of onlookers.

She promised to assist in the development of policies to increase work possibilities and provide a source of income for pandemic-affected villagers, as well as to promote quality education and peaceful living across the country.

Duterte stated that quality education will include skills training to improve competencies and that education is the foundation of decent employment.

She went on to say that livelihood options for students and out-of-school villages must be maintained.

She mentioned her experience as mayor of Davao City as vital and beneficial in promoting her governance agenda.

“Davao is one of the country’s ten wealthiest cities. We don’t have any loans, and those that we do have were paid off during my period,” said the younger Duterte.

The vice presidential candidate led a motorcade from Cauayan airport to Reina Mercedes, Naguilian, Gamu, and Ilagan City with her Mahalin Natin ang Pilipinas Ride (MNPR) group and a caravan along city routes.
