MANILA, Philippines — In Monday night’s Mega Lotto 6/45 draw, a single bettor from Laguna won the PHP8.9 million jackpot reward.

The Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) announced in a statement on Tuesday that the lucky bettor correctly predicted the winning combination of 36-17-29-28-12-05, with a reward of PHP8,910,000.

The winning ticket was purchased in Laguna’s San Pablo City.

The bettor must produce the winning ticket and two ID cards to the PCSO’s main office in Mandaluyong City to receive the payout.

Lotto winnings of more than PHP10,000 will be subject to a 20% final tax under the Tax Reform for Acceleration and Inclusion law.

A total of 41 bettors each received PHP32,000 for correctly guessing five of the six winning digits; 1,471 will receive PHP1,000 for four accurate digits, and 22,404 will receive PHP30 for three perfect digits.

Prizes that are not claimed within one year are forfeited.

On Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, the Mega Lotto 6/45 is drawn.

This is the second time this month that a single bettor has won the government lottery jackpot reward.

On the same day, a lone player who purchased his ticket in Pasay City won the PHP33 million jackpot prize in the Mega Lotto 6/45 draw.

PCSO General Manager Royina Garma urged the public to support PCSO games in order to raise more money for health programs, medical help and services, and charitable organizations.

According to Garma, the organization not only helps persons in need of medical assistance but also contributes funding to government institutions through its mandated payments.
