For speedier service, the Department of Education will hire public assistance coordinators.
MANILA – The Department of Education (DepEd) will designate public assistance coordinators (PACs) at all of its offices around the country to strengthen frontline services and provide seamless assistance.
PACs would be identified in all of their regional and school division offices, according to DepEd Memorandum 46, which was released on Wednesday.
The Department of Education has stated that it requires additional staff for the role.
“The Department is actively seeking extra staff to supplement public assistance in DepEd offices.” In the meanwhile, field offices are to appoint a Public Assistance Coordinator (PAC),” it stated.
PACs are intended to collaborate with DepEd’s Public Assistance Action Center and the DepEd Central Office, especially in terms of monitoring and responding to concerns presented by DepEd offices.
They will also be responsible for responding to complaints and inquiries received through the 8888 Hotline and the Contact Center ng Bayan.
