4 domestic flights were canceled because of bad weather
Inclement weather forced the cancellation of four domestic flights on Monday, according to the Manila International Airport Authority (MIAA).
These flights were operated by Cebu Pacific and were 5J 196/197 from Manila to Cayan and 5J 781/782 from Manila to Ozamis.
Just Cebu Pacific had a planned flight to and from Cauayan on Monday, according to MIAA’s records. On the other hand, a Philippine Airlines flight from Ozamis was able to land in Manila sooner.
Rainfall was previously predicted for the Cagayan Valley by the weather agency owing to the “amihan” or northeast monsoon.
Due to a low-pressure region that was last tracked 630 kilometers to the east and southeast of Hinatuan, Surigao del Sur, isolated rain showers are also anticipated over Mindanao.
Although the LPA has a small possibility of intensifying into a tropical storm, it is nevertheless expected to provide rain to Caraga and the Davao Region in the east of Mindanao.
