The majority of the country is still experiencing fair weather, with sporadic rain showers brought on by small-scale thunderstorms, the weather bureau reported on Tuesday.

The shear line may bring isolated rain showers and thunderstorms to Batanes and Babuyan Islands.

In its 4 a.m. weather bulletin, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said flash floods or landslides are probable in these locations due to moderate to heavy rains.

No tropical cyclone was being tracked, according to PAGASA forecaster Samuel Duran, and the rest of the country may only get isolated thunderstorms.

He warned the public against excessive temperature in several sections of the country.

“You may observe that we continue to experience excessive temperature. Avoid direct sunlight,” he added.

Duran also suggested to restrict going outdoors or exposure to direct sunshine to avoid heat cramps or heat exhaustion.

He also suggested dressing in light-colored clothing.

In the meantime, extreme Northern Luzon is expected to see moderate to severe winds and moderate to rough seas.

Elsewhere, winds will be light to moderate with mild to moderate seas.
