Between June 12 and June 18, the average number of new cases of coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) across the nation fell by 35%, the Department of Health (DOH) said on Monday.

The CDC reported 612 daily infections in its most recent case bulletin, down 335 instances from the 947 cases reported between June 5 and 11.

4,281 new cases in all were reported during the most recent week.

The number of serious and critical infections dropped from 527 the week before to 477.

Over the past week, no confirmed deaths occurred.

Only 346 of the 2,080 beds in the intensive care unit (ICU) are being used, or 16.6%, whereas 3,434 of the 17,647 non-ICU beds are being used, or 19.5%.

As of March 19, at least 78,443,972 people, or 100.4% of the target population for the nation (78,100,578), have received the Covid-19 vaccine, including 82.16 percent of 8,721,357 seniors.

Of the population receiving all recommended vaccinations, 23,811,248 have received booster doses.

Since January 2020, 4,159,815 million coronavirus cases and 66,482 fatalities have been reported nationwide.
