The (IATF) publishes “protocols” for fully immunized people

Individuals who are fully vaccinated do not need to submit swab test results while traveling inside the Philippines, according to the Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases (IATF-EID).

Fully vaccinated individuals will simply need to show their vaccination card for interzonal travel and intrazonal mobility, according to Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque. The new “protocols” established by the IATF-EID Resolution No. 124-5, according to Roque, will be effective immediately.

โ€œA fully vaccinated individual is defined as someone who has had more than or equal to 2 weeks after receiving the second dose of a 2-dose vaccination, or more than or equal to 2 weeks after receiving a single-dose vaccine,โ€ Roque, who is also the IATF-EID spokesman, said in a statement.

In accordance with the same IATF-EID resolution, Roque stated that a fully vaccinated person must be administered with vaccines that are included in the Emergency Use Authorization (EUA) List or Compassionate Special Permit (CSP) issued by the Philippine Food and Drug Administration or the World Health Organization’s Emergency Use Listing (WHO).

The movement inside a zone

Within the regions under the general community quarantine and modified general community quarantine established to control the Covid-19 epidemic, Roque said that intrazonal travel of properly vaccinated elderly people will be permitted in the future.

He noted that the presentation of a Covid-19 domestic vaccination card legally issued by a genuine vaccinating institution, or a certificate of quarantine completion indicating the holder’s vaccination status as may be provided by the Bureau of Quarantine, was required in order to get entry.

Intrazonal travel refers to the movement of people, products, and services between locations that are classified as belonging to the same community quarantine classification without passing via a location that is classified as belonging to a different classification.

Interzonal travel is a kind of travel that takes place between two or more zones.

The presentation of a vaccination card “shall be sufficient alternatives” for any testing requirements that the local government of destination may require for interzonal travel permitted under amended “pertinent resolutions” of the IATF and provisions of the Omnibus Guidelines on the community quarantine implementation, Roque stated.

โ€œThis interzonal travel will also apply to properly vaccinated elderly citizens,โ€ the directive states. Additionally, upon arrival at the local government of destination, the tourist is required to undertake health and exposure screening,โ€ Roque said.

Interzonal travel refers to the movement of people, commodities, and services across regions that are classified as quarantined by a separate local health department.

Recently, President Rodrigo Duterte accepted the proposal to prolong GCQ in the National Capital Region Plus (NCR Plus), which is comprised of the cities of Metro Manila and Bulacan as well as the provinces of Cavite, Laguna, and Rizal until July 15.

In addition to Baguio City, Apayao, Santiago, Isabela, Nueva Vizcaya, Quirino, Bacolod, Quezon, Guimaras, Aklan, Bacolod City, Negros Occidentales, Antique, Capiz, Iligan City, General Santos City, Sultan Kudarat, Sarangani and Cotabato City, the GCQ status will be imposed in the following cities: Baguio City, Santiago, Isabela, Nu

From July 15 to August 15, Cagayan de Oro City, Batangas, Lucena, Puerto Princesa, Naga, Iloilo City, Iloilo, Negros Oriental, Zamboanga del Sur, Zamboanga del Norte, Cagayan de Oro, the entire Davao region, Butuan City, the Dinagat Islands, and Surigao del Sur will be subject to a stricter modified enhanced community quarantine.

The remainder of the nation will continue to be subject to MGCQ for at least another month.

The quarantine period reduced to seven days.

In addition, according to IATF Resolution No. 124-B, in instances when fully vaccinated people are close contacts of suspected and confirmed Covid-19 cases, they may be subjected to a reduced 7-day quarantine period if they stay asymptomatic for the length of the 7-day period.

It was stated in the resolution that if [reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction] RT-PCR testing was required, it could not be performed sooner than five days after the last exposure was made.

Close contacts who may have been traced after the 7th day after the last exposure and who have remained asymptomatic will not be subjected to testing or quarantine.

If the RT-PCR test results in a positive result, or if the person exhibits symptoms, the subject must be isolated and tested according to the recommended procedures.
