Luzon will be dampened by isolated light rain showers due to the northeast monsoon, or “amihan,” which is affecting the island, the weather bureau said on Tuesday.

The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) reported in its 4 a.m. weather bulletin that Metro Manila’s temperature might hit 30°C, while the Kalayaan Islands and Puerto Princesa could reach 32°C.

According to weather forecaster Grace Castaeda, the rest of the country may see sporadic rain showers or thunderstorms.

Castaeda stated, “The public is advised to stay aware and take precautions against possible flooding and landslides, especially during strong thunderstorms.”

The temperature in Zamboanga could reach 34°C; Davao, 33°C; Tacloban, Cebu, and Cagayan de Oro, 31°C.

According to Castaeda, the country will not be affected by any meteorological disturbances.

Over Luzon, moderate to high winds and moderate to rough waves are expected.

A gale warning has been issued for northern Luzon’s northern seaboard.

Fishing boats and other small seacrafts have been cautioned not to enter into the water, and larger sea vessels have been warned of strong waves.

Winds will be light to moderate elsewhere, with modest to moderate seas.
