The Antipolo City Metropolitan Trial Court in Cities (MTCC) Branch 1 would be physically closed beginning Wednesday, according to the Supreme Court.

The SC Public Information Office (SC PIO) issued a warning that the court would be closed starting at noon on Wednesday for sanitation and disinfection and that the court “may be reached through their official hotlines and email addresses.”

The Supreme Court’s court lockdown bulletin published on Tuesday listed the latest 21 courts in Luzon to be placed under lockdown this month, comprising 16 RTC branches, three MTC branches, and two MTCCs.

RTC Br. 55 (Lucena City, Quezon province) has been placed on lockdown from January 5 to 18.

RTC Br. 170 and RTC Br. 7 Family Court (both in Laguna) have been placed on lockdown until January 19; RTC Br. 154 (Bian), MTCC Br. 3 (Lipa City), and the MTC of Cainta, Rizal have been placed on lockdown until January 20; RTC Br. 5 Family Court (San Jose del Monte), the Office of the Clerk of Court of Imus, the RTC Br. 3 Family Court of Taga

Following a surge in Covid-19 lawsuits that have delayed or crippled operations in various institutions, the high court ordered on Monday that all court papers due in January will be extended.

Starting this week, the SC will adopt decreased on-site work capacity.

Only a third of SC’s workforce will report to work on Mondays and Tuesdays, another third on Wednesdays and Thursdays, and the final third on Fridays and Saturdays.
