The Covid-19 bed occupancy rate in Manila has dropped to only 13%.

As of December 7, the bed occupancy rate for Covid-19 patients in Manila had dropped to only 13%, with only 65 occupied beds in the city’s six district hospitals.

When compared to the 23 percent bed occupancy rate with 116 occupied beds on Nov. 7, the data shows a 56 percent drop.

The city’s Covid-19 field hospital in Quirino Grandstand now has only 12 occupied beds, accounting for only 3% of the 344 available beds, a 25% decrease from a month ago.

At the moment, none of Manila’s 14 Covid-19 quarantine facilities are occupied.

The Ospital ng Maynila, Ospital ng Sampaloc, Jose Abad Santos General Hospital, Gat Andres, Ospital ng Tondo, and Sta. Ana Hospital are the city’s six district hospitals.

After reporting 12 new cases, the capital city recorded 96 active Covid-19 cases on Tuesday.

With 14 active cases, the Sampaloc area in District 4 had the most, followed by the Sta. Cruz area with 13.

A total of 88,544 recoveries were reported, bringing the total to 88,544.

A total of 1,723 people have died as a result of the disease, with no new deaths reported.

Meanwhile, the city is ramping up its vaccination campaign by assigning more accessible vaccination sites throughout the city.

The city government had already administered a total of 2,919,399 doses of Covid-19 vaccine as of 5 p.m. Tuesday, with 1,399,246 doses used as a second dose.

In the city, a total of 164,743 minors aged 12 to 17 years old, with or without comorbidities, have been vaccinated, with 57,884 already having received their full vaccination.

As of Tuesday, a total of 56,552 Covid-19 booster shots had been administered in the city.
