Lakas sends a message of togetherness to candidates and political parties.

MANILA, Philippines – House Majority Leader and Lakas-Christian Muslim Democrats (CMD) President Martin Romualdez on Tuesday urged all candidates and political parties to work together for the country’s good, extending the UniTeam’s unity message, which includes Lakas-CMD vice presidential candidate Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte and Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr.

Romualdez, who joined the UniTeam’s campaign in Cagayan and Isabela, said that the country’s political leaders, political parties, and those running in the upcoming elections, especially those seeking national positions, should work together because it is what the Filipinos desire.

After journalists tracking the UniTeam’s endeavor to strengthen its hold on Northern Luzon queried him about the candidates and parties, particularly the PDP-Laban joining the BBM-SARA tandem, the Lakas-CMD president issued the call.

“Sa tingin ko, nakikinig lahat sa UniTeam mensahe na basta sama-sama babangon tayo,” says the narrator. ‘Yong mensahe na magkaisa na tayo ay napakaganda,’yong opportunity na lahat talaga kesyo partido man o taong-bayan (I believe everyone is listening to UniTeam’s message that if we unify, we will rise. The possibility for people to be together, independent of parties),” Romualdez stated of UniTeam’s message of unity.

Everyone, even candidates and members of other political parties are welcome to join the UniTeam and become a part of its patriotic cry to unite Filipinos and the country, according to Romualdez.

“Welcome na welcome lahat (Everyone is welcome),” remarked the president of the Lakas-CMD.

In response to a journalist’s question, Romualdez remarked of the UniTeam’s two-day campaign in Cagayan and Isabela, “So far, Solid North talaga ito.” Ang pagtanggap kahapon napakainit (Monday). BBM, napakasaya ni. Sinabi niyang masayang-masaya siya at nakabalik siya sa Norte. On Monday, BBM received a warm greeting and was overjoyed. He expressed his delight at returning to the north).”

“Nasa Isabela naman, si Inday Sara, at makikita mo ang pagtanggap (Sara is now in Isabela, and you can see the warm welcome),” Romualdez remarked.

The UniTeam’s campaign to secure the “Ilocano” vote behind the BBM-SARA combination, according to the Lakas-CMD president, began with the Cagayan and Isabela sorties.
