PAOAY, Ilocos Norte – PAOAY, Ilocos Norte – Sandro Marcos on Wednesday urged other Ilocanos to repay the favor by protecting the president’s daughter, perhaps in reaction to Vice Presidential candidate Sara Duterte’s demand to “Protect Bongbong Marcos.”

“Ang sinabi niya sa ‘protektahan natin si President Bongbong Marcos’ noong andun kami sa Davao.” “Kaya nanawagan ako sa mga kababayan ko sa Ilocos Norte, protektahan natin si Vice President Inday Sara Duterte (When we were in Davao, she said, ‘Let’s defend President Bongbong Marcos.’ So I am calling on my compatriots in Ilocos Norte, let’s protect Vice President Sara Duterte

Sandro was in Tagum City, Davao del Norte, with his father, presidential candidate Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. (BBM), when Duterte, during their first public appearance as running partners, urged Dabawenyos to defend and support them.

On February 8, Duterte reiterated this call during a proclamation rally at the Philippine Arena in Bulacan.

Despite various tandems linking Sara to other presidential contenders, Sandro said he valued Sara’s commitment in fighting for BBM and the Uniteam.

“I am sincerely indebted as Apo BBM’s first-born son, bilang panganay, bilang anak ni Apo BBM, sa lahat po ng ginagawa ni Inday Sara Duterte,” Sandro remarked.

The young Marcos was one of the speakers at the UniTeam’s main rally at the Paoay Sand Dunes on Wednesday night.

“Kaya sa lahat po sa inyo nandito ngayon, sana po ay may isang boto para kay BBM at may isang boto para kay Inday Sara Duterte,” he remarked before a crowd of almost 20,000.

“Higit sa lahat, ako po ay nagpapasalamat sa napaka-init ang suporta ninyo sa amin,” she said. Ibinigay ninyo sa lahat ng (miyembro ng) Uniteam dito. Napakalaking tiwala ninyo sa lahat ng (miyembro ng) Uniteam dito. You’ve put your faith in all of the Uniteam members here),” Sandro added.

Before hosting a huge rally, Sandro joined his father and Sara in a seven-hour journey around the province.
