MANILA, Philippines – Vice-presidential candidate Sara Duterte has reaffirmed her commitment to running partner Ferdinand Marcos Jr. and rejected any attempts to form a coalition with a rival candidate.

Duterte claimed they are unified, along with the full senate slate, in a Facebook post while on break during the UniTeam’s Negros Occidental campaign sortie on Wednesday.

The Davao City mayor wrote, “Bongbong Marcos and Sara Duterte will always be one team.” “Despite the proclamations of other tandems that single out either Marcos or Duterte as a contender, we stand undivided and will remain strong.”

Posters of Isko Moreno and Sara Duterte have recently been seen.

The Manila mayor also stated that he supports Dr. Willie Ong, his vice-presidential running mate.

According to Duterte, the UniTeam is still the team to beat, as evidenced by all national polls.

“However, our strong performance in the polls would not mislead us into complacency. Instead, we will be persistent in our attempts to reach out to as many Filipinos as possible in the coming days with the message of unity, which we believe is critical to achieving what we have envisioned for the Filipino people and our beautiful country,” she added.

Meanwhile, Governor Philip Tan of Misamis Occidental pledged his support for Duterte’s campaign on Friday.

“We are 100 percent behind Mayor Sara,” Tan stated following a meeting with Duterte in Dipolog City with some leaders from his province.

From the standpoint of a colleague, Tan said he admires the mayor’s character.

“We’ve known one other for a long time. At the League of City Mayors, we were colleagues. Mayor Sara, greetings. Masaligan, matinud-anon, and down-to-earth are three words that come to mind when thinking of Masaligan. Mayor Sara is nice, dependable, and down-to-earth (Angay nato siyang botohan ug suportahan). He went on to say, “We should vote for her.”)
