MANILA, Philippines โ More than half of the police force has already gotten coronavirus illness 2019 booster shots (Covid-19).
The Philippine National Police (PNP) reported on Monday that 54.90 percent of its personnel, or 120,878 out of a total of 224,817, have gotten the third injection in the current Covid-19 tracking.
Meanwhile, the number of completely vaccinated personnel has reached 97.94 percent, or 220,182.
Only 1.73 percent of people, or 3,893, are waiting for their second vaccinations, according to the PNP.
Only 742 people, or 0.33 percent of the workforce, are still unvaccinated.
Since the pandemic began in March 2020, the police department has only registered one new case, bringing the total number of infections to 48,812.
There are 29 ongoing instances, with 48,665 recoveries and 128 deaths, respectively, since no new recoveries or deaths have been reported.
