DAVAO CITY, Philippines – In the following days, the UniTeam presidential candidate, former Sen. Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos, Jr., and vice presidential candidate, Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte, will continue to campaign together.

Martin G. Romualdez, President of the Lakas-Christian Muslim Democrats (CMD) and House Majority Leader, made the statement late Monday afternoon during a press conference in Davao City when questioned about the next steps for the front-running UniTeam.

“We’ll be revealing the schedules for the month of March, and you’ll be seeing a lot more of the UniTeam campaign together,” Duterte’s campaign manager, Romualdez, said.

Voters always have an “explosive” reaction when they see the two top poll contenders on stage, he said.

“While they strive to cover as much ground as they can, nakikita natin na pag [mag]kasama ang UniTeam, napaka-explosive ng reaction ng tao. Is that so? So we’ve noticed that the UniTeam campaign has gotten a lot of traction, and people really like seeing Mayor Inday Sara and the BBM campaign together, so we’ll attempt to deliver it to the public as well ” Says Romualdez.”

He said that Marcos and Duterte will continue to split up on the campaign trail as needed, since this would allow them to cover more ground with less than three months until the May 2022 elections.

“You’ll notice a campaign that is more unified, coordinated, focused, and successful. You will witness the most effective campaign ever waged in the Philippines since none other than our chair of Lakas-CMD is here to lead the charge for not only the party but also for the UniTeam in ensuring that we win these elections. Romualdez also congratulated Duterte for finishing the “Mahalin Natin ang Pilipinas Ride,” the latter’s iconic land caravan, which took place from February 1 to 28.

Duterte was able to tour 34 provinces and attend 70 official stops throughout the caravan.

“She follows through on what she says. She completes what she begins ” Says Romualdez.” “Mayor Inday Sara (ang caravan) is true to form, which is why she is the most deserved. She will be the Philippines’ best vice president in history.”
