MANILA, Philippines — The majority of the architectural and engineering design for the new Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) building in New Clark City is projected to be completed by July or August of this year.
The contract for the architectural and engineering design for the facility in Central Luzon was signed last February 28 by BSP Governor Benjamin Diokno, Monetary Board member Anita Linda Aquino, and representatives of Aidea Inc., according to BSP Governor Benjamin Diokno.
“The design will be finished in five to six months,” he said in a virtual briefing on Thursday, “and then we’ll contract out the construction, which will probably take two years.”
The BSP complex in New Clark City covers an area of more than 30 hectares.
Aidea, which won the architectural and engineering design competition, will be responsible for the development of more than 21 hectares.
The covered surface of the site, according to Diokno, would be used to construct an office building, a BSP museum, an academic building, a sports complex, data and command centers, and commercial stalls.
“With this deal signed, we are one step closer to constructing this inclusive, green, smart, and modern facility,” he continued.
