The issue of visas to vaccinated visitors will restart on April 1st.
MANILA, Philippines โ With the resumption of visa issuing by Philippine embassies and consulates on April 1, the Philippine government will fully reopen its doors to all foreign travelers.
The Department of Tourism (DOT) said in a statement that the new policy coincides with the elimination of unvaccinated passenger arrival quotas and the approval of a negative laboratory-based antigen test result obtained within 24 hours of departure as an alternate option for arriving passengers.
“There will be no limit on the number of international travelers coming in all ports of entry in the country beginning April 1,” it stated.
Currently, arriving visitors must have a negative RT-PCR test obtained 48 hours before leaving from their point of origin.
Through Resolution 164, the Inter-Agency Task Force also permitted passport holders from Hong Kong SAR and Macau SAR to enter for a duration of up to 14 days.
“This recent breakthrough allows all fully vaccinated travelers from all nations to enter the country, indicating that the country’s tourism economy is on the mend,” Tourism Secretary Bernadette Romulo-Puyat said.

“We at the DOT appreciate our IATF colleagues’ approval of such steps that will aid the sector’s revival in the coming months. We are optimistic that all of this will result in an increase in international visitors to the country over the summer months “she continued.
The DOT also announced that Croatia, Cyprus, and Nepal, which are among the 157 visa-free nations, will have their Covid-19 immunization certificates recognized reciprocally.
Previously, on February 10, the Philippines reopened its doors to international leisure travelers from visa-free countries.
The number of arrivals has reached 76,736 according to DOT data as of March 9. Foreign tourists account for 43,249 of the total, while balikbayans account for 33,487.
