Senator Panfilo “Ping” Lacson, the standard-bearer of the Partido Reporma, is unconcerned about recent poll survey findings showing him trailing other contenders.

“Surveys aren’t the same as elections. According to what I’ve heard, the election will take place on May 9th. I’m not bothered in the least because the numbers I sense on the ground differ from those reported in polls “Lacson said in a statement released late Monday.

Lacson, on the other hand, is perplexed as to why, despite performing well in presidential forums and interviews, his polling numbers remain low.

“After the presidential interviews and forums, I decided that instead of losing support, I should acquire it. Having said that, I intend to continue fighting until Election Day “‘I’m running for president,’ stated the presidential candidate.

Former senator Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. received 60% of the vote in a Pulse Asia poll held from February 18 to 23, followed by Vice President Leni Robredo with 15%, Isko Moreno with 10%, Sen. Manny Pacquiao with 8%, and Lacson with 2%, down from 4% in the previous poll.

Lacson previously stated that the people’s will, expressed through their ballots, will determine who will lead the country for the next six years, not pre-election polls.
