MANILA, Philippines — The meteorological agency predicted Tuesday that thanks to easterlies, fair weather will prevail over the country, with only sporadic rain showers generated by localized thunderstorms.

The LPA was last seen 390 kilometers northwest of Zamboanga City, or 95 kilometers southeast of Puerto Princesa City, Palawan.

“It still has a slim probability of evolving into a tropical cyclone,” said weather forecaster Aldczar Aurelio of the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA).

He warned residents of Palawan to be vigilant and make preparations in case of flooding or landslides.

“No other LPA or weather disturbances exist inside or outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility,” Aurelio stated.

Meanwhile, the rest of the country will see generally sunny skies with sporadic rain showers in the afternoons and evenings.

Temperatures in Metro Manila and Tuguegarao might reach 34°C, Davao 32°C, and Tacloban, Iloilo, and Zamboanga 31°C, according to the bureau.

Northern Luzon will have moderate to high winds and moderate to rough waves.

Winds will be light to moderate elsewhere, with modest to moderate seas.
