DAVAO CITY, Philippines – The UniTeam presidential candidate Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. and vice-presidential candidate Mayor Sara Duterte are planning a big rally in Davao on March 30.

The UniTeam stated in a statement on Tuesday that the region is a well-known Duterte bailiwick, with an estimated 2.8 million registered voters.

The first sortie will take place in Carmen, Davao del Norte, where the governor and congressman favor another presidential contender.

The proclamation rally will take place in Carmen town, right in front of the municipal hall, in an open space along the national highway.

“Supporters from Davao City, Davao Oriental, and Davao del Norte are expected to converge as a show of force in the early demonstration,” according to the statement.

After the Carmen event, the UniTeam candidates will go to Pantukan, Davao de Oro, for another rally before finishing their four-day trip in Mindanao in Digos, Davao del Sur.

Regions 9, 11, and 12 have all been visited by the UniTeam.

A large audience gathered on Tuesday at the UZ Summit Center in Zamboanga City for the proclamation rally, which was held in a closed-space venue.

“During a procession from Zamboanga airport to the gathering area, close to 100,000 Zamboangueos also demonstrated their support for Marcos,” the statement continued.

The BBM-Sara UniTeam began its Mindanao mission on Sunday with two proclamation rallies in the provinces of South Cotabato and Sultan Kudarat, followed by a visit to Maguindanao and North Cotabato provinces on Monday.
