In a survey conducted from March 30 to April 6, BBM-Sara maintains its advantage.

MANILA – The results of a poll conducted by lobbying and campaign management firm PUBLiCUS between March 30 and April 6 revealed no changes in the presidential and vice-presidential campaigns, with UniTeam’s Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. and Sara Duterte maintaining a large lead over their opponents.

“We believe those survey findings should be disclosed as close to the survey period as possible to accurately report the state of the race and provide actionable information to voters and candidates for political office,” PUBLiCUS said in a statement.

Marcos received 56 percent of the 1,500 registered voters who took part in the PAHAYAG 2022 First Quarter Survey to vote for him (PQ1).

With 23% of the vote, Vice President Leni Robredo came in second, followed by Manila Mayor Francisco “Isko Moreno” Domagoso with 9%.

When compared to their statistics from the March 9 to 14 poll, Marcos, Robredo, and Domagoso all had statistically negligible increases in vote share of 1, 2, and 1%, respectively.

5% stated that they were still undecided.

Mayor Duterte of Davao City received 58 percent of the vote.

Senator Francis Pangilinan (15 percent), Senate President Vicente Sotto III (11 percent), and Dr. Willie Ong (9 percent) were statistically tied for third place, with a margin of error of 3%.

When compared to the March 9 to 14 timeframe, Duterte and Sotto saw a marginal 1% gain, Pangilinan saw a negligible 2% increase, and Ong’s numbers declined by 2%.

Only 6% of voters said they were still undecided about who they would vote for as vice president.

Marcos also led the Pulse Asia survey, which polled 2,400 adults from March 17 to 21, with 56 percent to Robredo’s 24 percent and Duterte’s 56 percent to Sotto’s 20 percent.

PQ1 is a non-commissioned nationwide purposive sampling survey conducted by an independent organization.

The 1,500 respondents were chosen at random from a market research panel of over 200,000 Filipinos by the PureSpectrum Singapore branch.

“PureSpectrum is a panel marketplace established in the United States with a global reach. PureSpectrum samples are not linked with any political party or bias. All opinions expressed in the data interpretation and analysis are the writer’s and/or project sponsor’s “In a press release, PUBLiCUS stated.

Only registered voters were allowed to participate in the final survey panel. In order for the resultant sample to adhere more closely to the features of the voting population, as specified by statistics from the Commission on Elections, parameters based on respondent age, gender, and geography were also used in the sample formation.

The margin of error for the entire country is +/- 3%. The margin of error in the National Capital Region is +/- 7%, and in other regional groups it is +/- 6%.
