PDP-Laban predicts local and national victories.
MANILA, Philippines — The Partido Demokratiko Pilipino-Lakas ng Bayan (PDP-Laban) has expressed confidence in the election results of its local and national candidates on May 9.
This comes after the Commission on Elections (Comelec) declared the PDP-Laban the majority political party in this year’s elections in Resolution 10787.
“With this, the party anticipates a strong finish as we enter the last days of the campaign.” We are confident in our national and local candidates’ victories across the country “Alfonso Cusi, president of the PDP Laban and Energy Secretary, said in a press statement.
Cusi applauded the Comelec’s decision, which confirms the ruling party’s domination over the opposition.
“We are grateful to the Comelec for making the timely decision to name us the prevailing majority party in the May 9 elections. It’s great to know that we outperform all other political parties based on the Comelec’s six standards, which provide a complete assessment and measurement of our parties’ current comparative strength,” he remarked.
PDP-Laban was declared the dominant majority by the Comelec on Wednesday after receiving the highest weighted average points of 55.74.
The ruling party’s score was calculated using a six-point system that included the parties’ track records, the number of incumbent officials who belong to the party, the number of established chapters across the country, the ability to field a slate of candidates across the country, the number of women candidates, and the relative organization and strength.
There are now 5,384 incumbent officials who are members of the PDP-Laban, including President Rodrigo Duterte.
The PDP-Laban is entitled to the fifth copy of the election returns and the seventh copy of the canvass certificates as the majority party.
The party will also be able to appoint official watchers in every voting site and canvassing center after receiving electronically transmitted precinct results.
Senate bets are ecstatic.
Salvador Panelo, Greco Belgica, Rey Langit, Astra Pimentel, and Robin Padilla, members of the PDP-“Solid Laban’s 5” senatorial candidates, praised the Comelec’s decision and pledged to do their bit to ensure election integrity.
Panelo, who formerly served as Duterte’s chief legal counsel, promised that the PDP-Laban would remain transparent and vigilant.
“Ang PDP-Laban ay tapat sa kanyang pangako na babantayan ang bawat boto upang maging malinis ang proseso ng pagpili ng mga Pilipino sa mga susunod na lider ng bansa,” stated Panelo. “Higit sa lahat ay sisiguruhin nating mapoprotektahan ang mga boto at hindi natin hahayaang may dayaang mangyari (On election day, we will ensure that votes are protected and that no cheating occurs).”
The Comelec’s decision, according to Belgica, a former anti-corruption czar, validates the PDP pledge Laban’s to hold “honest, peaceful, and credible elections” on May 9.
The Comelec’s decision, according to Langit, demonstrates the ruling party’s crucial involvement in the May 9 national and local elections.
“Ang aking tuwa nang malaman ang desisyon na ito po ang labis. (The decision made me delighted.) Patunay lamang na ang inyong PDP Laban ang partidong may malaking papel sa darating na halalan It demonstrates that the PDP-Laban will play a significant role in the upcoming elections) “Langit explained.
The PDP-Laban being labeled the country’s majority party, according to Pimentel and Padilla, is a testimonial to the party’s dedication to free and fair elections.
“”We in the PDP-Laban will continue to strive for a strong democracy and defend the elections so that the voice of unified Filipinos can be heard,” Pimentel added.
