VP Leni reassures supporters, stating that there would be more struggles ahead.

MANILA, Philippines β€” In a pre-dawn address Tuesday, Vice President Leni Robredo, who is at least 16 million votes behind presidential leader Ferdinand Marcos Jr. in the unofficial midday total, assured her supporters that they did not fail since they began a new movement.

What matters, she argued, is that fresh doors have opened.

“Walang nasayang, kaya sinasabi ko sa inyo ngayon.” “And so I’m telling you this: nothing went to waste, and we didn’t fail,” Robredo remarked.

“Pinakamahalaga: Hindi pa tayo tapos,” says Pinakamahalaga. Tayo lang nagsisimula. There are some nagbukas landas, but it is not a sasara kasabay ng mga presinto. (What matters is that we aren’t done yet.) We’ve just begun. A new path has opened, which will not be closed when the precincts close. “A movement has emerged, and it will not die after the counting is over),” she explained.

Robredo acknowledged that her supporters are concerned, particularly in light of claims of anomalies, but stressed the need of maintaining faith in the democratic process.

“However, I’m telling you: I know we love our country, but that love should not be the source of fragmentation,” Robredo remarked.

She later announced in a statement that she will meet with specialists to address concerns voiced on social media and that the outcomes of those talks will be shared.

Robredo praised her supporters for sticking by her during the campaign, as well as everyone who believed in her and voted for her.

They’ll get together on May 13 in Manila at an unannounced location.

“Hayaan ninyo akong magpasalamat sa lahat.” (First and foremost, let me express my gratitude.) “Thank you to everyone who voted,” she remarked. “Ang lalim ng pagmamahal ninyo, hindi kayang sukatin ng number.” (There are no words to express my gratitude for the love you have shown.) Thank you kindly)”.

She urged them to remain strong and focused, promising that she would be with them for as long as they needed her.

I do not have any plans of abandoning what I have been fighting for all my life. My work to uplift the lives of those in the lowest sector of society continues. I am calling on you to be with me in this fight and all other fights),” Robredo said.
