MANILA – The meteorological agency predicted fair weather with a risk of rain across the country on Thursday.

“Thunderstorms are anticipated to bring rain to the Visayas and Mindanao in the afternoon or evening,” said Aldczar Aurelio of the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA).

“Inside and outside the Philippine Region of Responsibility, no low-pressure area or weather disturbance was seen,” he added.

The frontal system is still affecting extreme northern Luzon, bringing cloudy skies, isolated rainfall, and thunderstorms to Batanes, the Babuyan Islands, and Ilocos Norte, according to Aurelio.

“In some places, thunderstorms are very likely in the afternoon or evening. Rainfall will range from mild to moderate to heavy at times “Aurelio explained.

Meanwhile, temperatures in Metro Manila, Legazpi, the Kalayaan Islands, and Tuguegarao are expected to reach 33 degrees Celsius, while Baguio will reach 23 degrees Celsius.

The temperature in Iloilo, Davao, and Zamboanga might reach 33 degrees Celsius.

Over extreme northern Luzon, moderate to high winds and moderate to rough waves continue to persist.

Winds will be light to moderate elsewhere, with modest to moderate seas.
